Met veel plezier nodigt Stichting NDSM-werf je uit voor de opening van The Argonauts van de Britse kunstenaar Ivan Morison. De installatie bestaat uit drie monumentale sculpturen die vreemde, lichamelijke vormen introduceren in het postindustriële landschap van de NDSM-werf. Opgebouwd uit lokaal gewonnen agrarische materialen en voorzien van een verharde minerale huid, bevinden de sculpturen zich ergens tussen lichaam en landschap, tussen verhulling en verandering. Geïnspireerd door queer-ecologisch denken en de dynamiek van relationele macht nodigt The Argonauts uit tot nieuwe manieren van samenkomen en het ervaren van de publieke ruimte.

Opening: donderdag 24 september van 17:30 tot 19:30 uur, programma volgt.

Stichting NDSM-werf is pleased to invite you to the opening of The Argonauts by British artist Ivan Morison. The installation consists of three monumental sculptures that introduce strange, bodily forms into the post-industrial landscape of the NDSM Wharf. Constructed from locally sourced agricultural materials and coated with a hardened mineral skin, the sculptures exist somewhere between body and landscape, concealment and transformation. Inspired by queer ecology and the dynamics of relational power, The Argonauts invites visitors to consider new ways of coming together and experiencing public space.
